What are my biggest hurdles?

I haven’t got much experience in running a business

First of all, I lack experience in running a business. I have some ideas based on what I heard and what others told me, but I am not really sure how all of this will apply to me and how I can bring myself in. Right now, I am just guessing and hoping to take the right steps.

I need to better understand how the market works

This really relates to many aspects. How good is the market today and will be in the future? How open is the market for someone like me and what is the right business and what business models should I apply? I need to know if I am expecting too much or too little?

I need to learn more about sales and promotion

I never had to worry about finding clients and selling was never my core strength. There is a lot I need to learn to understand how I and my future business will attract clients and customers and to keep them come back.

Go my own way
Take my chances
Get the right clients

What can I expect to get out of this?

Is this training for me?

We designed this training for anyone looking for a way to learn the needed skills to run a business. Let’s be clear, if you want to start a plumbing business, you need to know about plumbing. We won’t teach you that. But when it comes to decision making, people skills, etc. you’re at the right place.

How does it work?

This training is based on democratic education. This means you decide what and how you want to learn. We do provide a base curriculum that defines the points of focus, but you decide how you want to learn this.

As an academy, we focus mainly on taking action to learn. This requires you to not just listen but to discover through action how this will work for you.

We work in small groups of up to 10 students and this group decides on the progress and flow of the studies. The learning itself is part of the experience and puts the power into the student’s hands. The teacher functions as a guide or mentor.

The knowledge is provided in form of Live sessions or recorded video content. This the information or knowledge, The power comes from the group sessions where you will discover how you can turn this knowledge into action that works for you.

What will I learn

The advantage of learning entrepreneurial skills over more traditional subjects is that they are not only relevant to a career as an entrepreneur.

The skills needed to start your own business are relevant in any field and would also be desirable attributes for being an employee. In fact, having a wide range of business-relevant skills gained through studying entrepreneurship would make you an ideal candidate in most fields.
